Engage Federation supporters, affiliates, and partners to elevate the wildlife crisis and support the passage of the Recovering 皇冠体育app官网平台’s Wildlife Act and other legislative and administrative priorities around State and Tribal wildlife and conservation funding.
Wild Snake River Salmon Recovery
Our goal is to help restore and protect the wild salmon species in the Pacific Northwest that depend on healthy watersheds for their survival. We aid in the development of campaigns working to replace the services of the four lower Snake River dams, which are harming the native salmon populations. We also support honoring the treaties made with NW Tribes whose history and traditions depend on healthy salmon populations.
State Wildlife Action Plans
provide a blueprint for addressing the wildlife crisis and 48 states and territories will publish their once-a-decade updates this year. These action plans outline states’ strategies to proactively conserve species, rather than waiting for populations to decline to the point where they need Endangered Species Act protections. We work across NWF programs, regions and with affiliates supporting the revision of these state wildlife action plans and the creation of campaign plans to support the implementation of the updated plans.
